11-4-07 Meeting

Attendees: Rao Panuganti, Nagendra Jaladanki, V Ranganath, Ram Bhoopalam, Manjunath Kasi, Yelisetty Gupta, Kailasnath Dornadula

Minutes:

1. It has been decided by the members to go with shilpi in Bangalore (D. Vijikar). Cost of statue is Rs. 62,000. Shilpi is asking for 50% deposit and another Rs. 1000 to go and visit "Davana Gere" to actually see Vasavi Matha statue there, so that he can make a similar one. Members agreed to pay $800 (approximately Rs. 32,000) from the funds we have collected so far as a deposit. In case we are short of funds for this statue, it has been decided that core members will chip in, instead of going to wider community.
2. Conflict of interest policy has been signed by the members present.
3. There is going to be a flier created along with pledge form. Drafts of these are going to be created by Ranganath by 12/20 and e-mail of this will go out to wider community by 12/1/07.
4. There may be a fund raising event in Jan/Feb time frame.
